About The Event Hub
The Event Hub is a one-stop shop for all entertainment, wedding and events. We have been successfully providing entertainment solutions to wedding couples, event organisers, hotels and venues, and private party clients throughout Ireland for over 40 years.
Our goal is to help you streamline your event organization by taking responsibility of a very important aspect – the entertainment.
Where It All Started
A little bit about our history
The Event Hub is owned and operated by three brothers, Gavin, Mike and Sean Moloney. All three have been actively involved in the entertainment business since a very young age. This was encouraged and made possible by working with their uncle, Ted Dunne, who was undoubtedly one of the most experienced and successful DJs and entertainment agents in Ireland.
Ted originally started out in the entertainment business as a DJ way back in 1975, playing in the Top Hat Ballroom in Fermoy, County Cork. Here he was the resident DJ every Friday and Sunday playing before bands like Joe Dolan, Brendan Boyer, Dickie Rock, and many more. Over the years Ted established himself on the nightclub and dance hall circuit right across Ireland, and quickly became regarded as one of the best known DJs in the country.
Skip forward a few years and the Ted Dunne Entertainment brand evolved and grew into the most trusted and respected entertainment agency in Munster, supplying music and entertainment packages to tens of thousands of wedding couples, hotels and venues, parties and festivals.
Ted Dunne - Nobody Did It Better
Ted was one of the most well-known and loved characters in the entertainment industry, having built such an established and trusted agency, and having helped so many DJs and musicians to further their careers in the business.
Sadly, after a short illness, Ted passed away unexpectedly in February 2021. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, many friends, and everyone who knew him in the entertainment and hospitality industries.
About Us
Carrying on the family tradition in the entertainment business, and honoring Ted’s legacy, the three brothers decided to expand the business, and subsequently re-branded to establish The Event Hub.
Now a full fledged music and entertainment booking agency, The Event Hub provides clients with DJs, live bands and solo musicians, and party rentals including photo booths, magic mirrors, hashtag printers, and LED dance floors.
